But GoodMeasure gave us the opportunity to access the information we truly needed and view our data through our own lens. It also helped us understand some of the complexities a family might be experiencing, allowing us to factor these into our planning and how we work with each family.

We wanted to complete a GoodMeasure report to assess the effectiveness and social value of our Kōmanawa Parenting programme. Partnering with ImpactLab and getting our GoodMeasure report was super insightful. It really showed us how our programmes are making a difference for our clients. Understanding what happens with families after our interventions is crucial, and the report shed light on that.
Our previous GoodMeasure report helped us make key decisions around service changes. This time, we could see the impact of those changes and get a clear view of their effectiveness. It was incredibly rewarding to receive validation not only for the programme adjustments but also for the broader community impact they’ve had.
The process was as beneficial as the outcome. Our team learned all about the data collection process, analysing a demographic review of clients as opposed to the more clinical approach we usually take. It helped our team internally have a mindset of increasing productivity and impact. Staff involved in the reviewed programmes responded positively to the findings. The feedback brought a sense of validation and pride, reinforcing the dedication and effort our team puts into supporting the community.
