GoodMeasure has added a lot of confidence to what we’re doing. More importantly, we’re now getting accurate, reliable data on which we can base our decisions.

Thanks to GoodMeasure, we feel much more confident and can clearly pinpoint the areas where we need to improve.

What was our aim in completing a GoodMeasure report?

At Grace Foundation, we know lives are being transformed, we see it every day. But we wanted more than stories and gut feeling. We needed clear, honest data to show the real difference our healing, housing, and whānau restoration approach is making. Working with ImpactLab gave us the chance to step back and measure the deeper impact of our mahi, in a way that funders and government agencies can understand, and confidently invest in.

What did we learn from our GoodMeasure report?

The GoodMeasure report confirmed what we’ve always believed - the combination of safe housing, healing, and cultural reconnection creates the biggest impact. It gave us clarity about where we should focus our time, energy, and resources. It reinforced that investing in housing and healing, isn’t just the right thing to do for our communities, it also makes economic sense.

How did the report impact our organisation?

The insights gave our whole team from frontline to leadership - a real confidence boost. We now know we’re on the right path, and we have solid evidence to back that up. It also opens doors. With data that proves our outcomes, government and community partners are taking notice.  Internally, it’s been a culture shift. We’re now much more intentional about tracking progress and making decisions based on evidence. It’s helped us grow as an organisation without losing who we are.

What tangible changes have we made as a result?

The first step was upgrading our systems. We partnered with Microsoft and Delta Insights to roll out a new CRM, which helps us track each person’s journey in real time.

This has transformed how we collect, manage, and use data - making us more efficient, more responsive, and better equipped to serve our people.
